On the 1th of December 1994, the official commissioning day of Baltic Cable took place.
For 30 years, Baltic Cable has been a part of the European electricity system. From Kruseberg in Sweden to Lübeck in Germany – we play a vital part in making the European energy system more connected, reliable, and competitive.
“Baltic Cable has two objectives. Objective number one is to transmit power safely and securely between the German and Swedish electricity market according to price differences. The second target, which we are about to embark on, is to invest in European interconnectors”, says Asbjørn Grundt, Chairman of the board, Baltic Cable.
