A warm welcome to Anna Andersson– Baltic Cable’s new Finance Manager

Anna has an extensive finance career across several industries, with deep expertise in financial processes, compliance and corporate governance. While this is her first role in the energy sector, Anna is used to complex environments and group structures within areas of aircraft leasing, air gas production, and industrial manufacturing. Since November 2025, Anna leverages her experience in a new context – as finance manager at Baltic Cable.

Can you explain your role as Finance Manager at Baltic Cable?
“My work is very much about creating structure and trust in a complex, highly regulated environment. I work with topics like financial governance, tax and regulatory matters, cash flow and liquidity, insurance and financial risk management. I enjoy turning complexity into clarity and strengthening financial processes and controls. I’m still settling into the role, and it is very exciting every time I connect the dots and learn something new about the company.”

What inspired you to pursue a career in the energy industry?
“I wanted to try something new! I have always enjoyed that process and this was a completely different industry – with high complexity, a long-term perspective, and significant societal value. As critical infrastructure, the energy system plays a vital role in our everyday lives and the energy transition. Baltic Cable serves an important function in that system, and I find that very motivating.”

What projects are you working on right now?
“I am looking into how we can strengthen our financial reporting, review the budget process, and develop how we follow up and steer performance. I’m also working on improving internal processes; the business system and optimization of our workflows.”

What do you enjoy most about your work at Baltic Cable?
“I enjoy working in a highly competent organisation where people collaborate closely while still being part of an international context. My role is starting to crystallize, and I look forward to my responsibilities ahead. While in the “learning phase” I strongly believe that you must first understand the organization, then you start adding value, and after that you can really develop and improve things.”

What do you like to do outside of work?
“Outside of work, I enjoy keeping active with golf and workouts, spending time with friends and enjoying family life. With the kids getting older, the time we have together has become even more meaningful. I also like reading, especially biographies and crime novels.”
