Paula began her journey at Baltic Cable in 2023. She previously worked 30 years within finance but always grabbed for assignments and projects outside of her role, making her an experienced Project Manager. When the role as half time Office Coordinator at Baltic Cable presented itself – Paula found a perfect fit.
What do you do as Office Coordinator at Baltic Cable?
“Everything! Everything that has got to do with the office and the property. For example, making sure that all the technical equipment works, the windows have been cleaned, that the plants are thriving, and that all employees have access to what they need. I also plan conferences, trips and yearly office parties. We’ve also grown a lot as a company the last year and recently moved our office, which required a lot of coordination”
What projects are you working on right now?
“We continue to grow as a company, and I slowly plan for our office expansion to make sure we all fit. Another ongoing project is digitalizing old documents and photos from the archives – a good look into Baltic Cables history. There are pictures of the cable construction sites, people working with the cable and the supervisory board over the years. I have recognized one or two of my colleagues in these pictures!”
What do you enjoy most about your work at Baltic Cable?
“Every day looks different, which is so much fun. I have enjoyed getting so many new colleagues the recent year, they are all so nice and we get along very well as whole group in the entire company. And I must say, it is also very nice to plan the more leisure activities like the Christmas and summer party – everyone enjoys that!”
What’s your favorite way to unwind after a busy day at work?
”A long walk or a cycling in nature. I have huge love for gardening, even worked as one for a while, and since I do not have a garden of my own right now, I take the chance to visit the parks and nature in Malmö as often as I can. I sold my car some month ago and have not missed it at all”
