Baltic Cable information security is certified according to the international standard and the IT Security Catalogue. The independent audit proved that all applications, systems and components that are vital for a secure network operation are protected against potential threats.
Baltic Cable ensures its information security by a comprehensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) according to the international standard ISO/IEC27001 which fulfils the requirements of the “IT Security Catalogue” according to §11 (1a) of the Germany Energy Industry Act. In November the completeness of implementation and operational processes in the ISMS were certified by an independent audit.
The ISMS aims to protect all applications, systems and components that are vital for a secure network operation against potential threats. Additionally, in case of occurrence of security incidents, it aims to minimize their impact and maintain all relevant processes.
The IT Security Catalogue was created by the German Federal Network Agency (Bundesnetzagentur) in consultation with the German Federal Office for Information Security (BSI).
