Part of Europe’s electricity network

A Connected Europe

The electrification of our societies is growing in momentum. That requires a convenient network of electricity wherever we are. One of EU’s top priorities is a reliable, interconnected electricity network covering Europe.

The Baltic Cable is an underwater high-voltage direct current (HVDC) transmission line. It runs 260 kilometres between Lübeck in Germany and Kruseberg in Sweden. It is the only interconnector between the price zones Germany/Luxemburg and Sweden 4. Baltic Cable is a vital part of the European electricity network.

This is Baltic Cable

We play a part in linking Europe’s energy markets. As an Interconnector TSO between Sweden and Germany, we provide a bridge to an interconnected and competitive European market and offer capacity to ensure a reliable energy system – all to support the green transition on our continent.
